I guess @wpxi thinks transgender people are an “issue.” I cannot underscore how incredibly irresponsible this graphic is. Transgender people does not equal "gender issue event." The @apstylebook has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to understanding how to report on LGBTQ topics. As a longtime journalist and copy editor, I’d be happy to talk with anybody at WPXI who wants to better understand how to do this correctly in ways that do not endanger LGBTQ — specifically transgender — people.
